Gio West was raised in Houston, Texas. The city evidently inspires the music that he makes, his sound is based on his experiences blended with the culture exhibited by the likes of Travis Scott, Maxo Kream, Don Toliver, and even the likes of Paul Wall.

The middle of the pandemic was a turning point for Gio's career in music, he underwent a rebranding process, built a team, and started re-releasing music again at the back end of the year with releases Houston Freestyle, a song dedicated to the love of his city & Undefeated, a mentality song which resonates with his "underdog" mentality.

2021 is set to continue stronger as Gio plans to release more singles all 2021 with upcoming music such as Incredible, Grateful, and Deepend which are all very heavy hitting tracks.
